A PROJECT BECOMES A BOOK
A project to capture and save photographs of Detroit firemen since the occupation was added to the city's constitution
in 1865. Now you can own it.
Through personal photos, historic newspapers, and current fire personel publications, I have been gathering individual
pictures of everyone that was a Detroit fireman. Of the nearly 9500 employees, I currently have 4500 and would like
to add more missing firemen.
I have a running list of these 4000 missing firemen. Most are from the beginning of the century-1900-1945. If you
have someone who was a Detroit firemen and would like to submit them:
1. attach a 200 dpi photo(head and shoulders)
2. give the full legal name with middle
initial, no nick names
